Welcome to Vail

Happy Holidays and Welcome to Vail! Please remember that wrapping paper, gift wrap, tissue paper, film plastics (bubble wrap, shrink wrap, etc.), and styrofoam are not recyclable locally. They should be disposed of in your regular trash.

Before you toss that cup, water or soda bottle, or newspaper take a second and make sure they go in the right bin. Coffee cups belong in the trash and cannot be recycled. Some stores use compostable cups which need to go in the trash unless a compost bin is available. Compostable items cannot be recycled.

If the wrong items end up in the recycling bin, it can lead to recyclables being thrown away as trash and increased recycling costs for everyone!

America Recycles Day

Nov. 15
