Let's Recycle Right Eagle County!

The Town of Vail is proud to be a part of the Eagle County Climate Action Collaborative, which is launching its winter Bi-Annual Recycling Education Guide for the Eagle County Community. We are spelling out what can ALWAYS go in your recycle bin and what can NEVER EVER go in your recycle bin. And we’ll let you know every 6 months if there have been any changes to the rules, so you can keep on top of your recycling game!

Please note, the following are NOT accepted in any recycling stream:
– Aseptic containers (dairy/almond/oat milk/OJ cartons)
– Starbucks hot coffee cups
– Plastic Cutlery, plastic hot/cold cup lids, to-go dressing-sized containers (less than 3 oz)
– Styrofoam
– Plastic Bags

In the interim between updates, the Eagle County Waste Wizard app is a perfect tool to answer all the questions you have on recycling. Find the answers to all your specific recycling questions at any time and have access to Walking Mountains recycling resources at the tip of your fingers!

Download the FREE Eagle County Waste Wizard app, check out the Recycling Guide, and start recycling right!

What is the Ordinance?

What is the Community Wide Recycling Ordinance? As of July 1, 2014 recycling regulations took effect in Vail. So yes, it’s a law, but its something we should all be doing anyway, so think of it as just a smart move and a small token of your love.
