Single-occupancy vehicles, such as small cars and trucks, account for 42 percent of Eagle County’s greenhouse gas emissions.

Shift Bike is Eagle County’s electric bike share program between the Town of Vail, Eagle-Vail, Avon, and Edwards. The program will expand into Minturn and Eagle in 2024. The e-bike share system is designed to help residents and employees shift their ride – away from car trips and on to e-bikes for short trips and daily commutes. The expanded Shift Bike system includes a fleet of 155 e-bikes and 33 hub stations from East Vail to West Edwards.

This regional e-bike share program is transforming our community by building a high-quality, sustainable, and affordable system that:

• Reduces first-and-last mile challenges

• Supplements public transit

• Reduces greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution

• Encourages active and healthy forms of transportation

• Increases access to e-bikes
